Ingredients
- 500g plain flour
- 7g instant yeast
- 2 eggs
- 120ml warm milk
- 100g sugar
- 120g butter
- 200g dark chocolate
- 50g cocoa powder
Preparation
- Make an enriched dough with the flour, yeast, eggs, milk, sugar and butter; prove until doubled.
- Melt the chocolate with a little butter and the cocoa into a spreadable paste.
- Roll the dough out, spread with the chocolate and roll into a tight log.
- Slice lengthways and twist the two halves together, then place in a loaf tin.
- Prove again and bake at 180C for 30 to 35 minutes, then brush with sugar syrup.
