Ingredients
- 500g plain flour
- 7g instant yeast
- 250ml warm milk
- 80g sugar
- 80g butter
- 2 tsp ground cardamom
- 100g butter, softened, for filling
- Pearl sugar, to finish
Preparation
- Make a soft dough with the flour, yeast, milk, sugar, butter and half the cardamom; prove until doubled.
- Roll out and spread with the softened butter and remaining cardamom.
- Fold, slice into strips and twist each into a knot.
- Prove for 30 minutes, brush with egg and sprinkle with pearl sugar.
- Bake at 200C for 12 to 15 minutes until golden.
