Swiss Cheese Fondue

Ingredients

  • 400g Gruyère, grated
  • 200g Emmental, grated
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 300ml dry white wine
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp kirsch
  • 1 crusty baguette, cubed

Preparation

  1. Rub the fondue pot with the cut garlic clove.
  2. Warm the wine, then add the cheese a handful at a time, stirring constantly.
  3. Mix the cornflour with the kirsch and stir in to thicken.
  4. Keep warm over a low flame and serve with cubed bread for dipping.
